Timecode CD & CD-Player Experience

Postby andydope » Wed Jan 20, 2010 8:51 pm

Hi to all,

i just play around with Touch DVS and the Timecode Cd and just want to ask you about your experiences with cd-players and the timecode cds.

Atm i only have an old Pioneer CDJ-100S and it seems to work good (if you ignore the known bug of the old pioneer players).

Does anyone know how important the vinylmode of some cd-players is?

Ok everybody, the last few days i tested with an gemini cdj-600 and an monacor/img stage line cd-60dj player.
The gemini does'nt work. I checked back this with Mixxx and Serato Timecode CD, too, with the same bad result.

The monacor/img stage line cd-60dj player work like a charm.
So this player is atm the best for me to use the touch timecode-cds.

I collect my experiences and some other informations here:
http://www.andydope.de/timecode-cds-und-cd-player-ein-erfahrungsbericht <- it's only in german.

The scratch-/vinyl-mode is for a vinyl-like feeling interessting.
I like this mode, because the searching and setting of a cue-point is better (for me).

Best regards,
